(WBIR) Madisonville police said a man carjacked a vehicle with a pregnant woman inside minutes after he was released on bond.

Jeremy Joseph Moore left the Monroe County Jail shortly before 12:45 p.m. Monday. Deputies said Moore was waiting outside the sheriff's office for a ride home when he got into a stranger's parked car.

According to a Madisonville police report, Moore started harassing the pregnant woman inside the vehicle. The victim managed to get out of the car, started running and fell down. The suspect then allegedly drove off in the vehicle, nearly hitting the woman on the ground.

A couple minutes later, Moore crashed the car into a house on Oklahoma Street in Madisonville.

Officials charged him with resisting arrest, attempted kidnapping, and reckless endangerment.

The victim only suffered minor injuries.
