(WBIR) A Madisonville teenager died after her car flipped several times on a highway in McMinn County early Monday morning.

Tennessee Highway Patrol said Katresa D. Rose, 17, ran off Highway 307 at about 5:40 a.m. Her Honda Civic hit a culvert and went airborne for about 60 feet. The vehicle then landed on the side of the road and flipped three to four times before smashing into a tree. The impact ejected the driver about 300 feet from the car, according to the THP crash report.

Troopers said Rose wasn't wearing a seatbelt and indicated in the report that alcohol may have been a factor.
