(WBIR) A suspect believed to have connections to a north Knoxville shooting Wednesday night was arrested on unrelated charges.
Knoxville police arrested Ramond Martez Jackson, 25, of Knoxville during a traffic stop on I-275. Officers said they believe the white SUV Jackson was driving was used during the shooting that left one man dead and another injured. Currently, Jackson isn't facing any charges for the shooting, but officials charged him with possession of Hydrocodone, driving on a suspended license and having no insurance.
Police said at least two men shot Terry Mack Sr., 64, several times following a confrontation in his North Park Boulevard home.
During the fight, officers said Mack shot and killed Dearies Marcel George, 24.
Crews took Mack to UT Medical Center for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. As of Thursday afternoon, Mack was listed in serious condition.

During the confrontation, KPD said Mack shot and killed 24-year-old Dearies Marcel George.
Thursday evening, Knoxville police took another suspect into custody who is believed to have connections to the shooting. He is not yet being identified and no charges have been placed against him at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
