An old school bus is still traveling the streets of Knoxville. Only this ride doesn't bring kids to school.

Its been offering people in need a second chance for nearly a decade.

Danny Smiddy bought the "Church on Wheels" only to hand it over to Angelic Ministries. Now, he is the designated driver. And his riders say he is making a difference.

"This ministry has been very encouraging and very uplifting in my life," said Carol Boener.

Boener is a frequent rider on the Church on Wheels. She said she used the bus to escape tougher times involving drug abuse and her husband.

She calls the bus "home."
