A local high school's perfect season was honored nationally on Tuesday.
The Army National Guard and high school sports website "Max Preps" honored Fulton High School after the team finished the 2013 season ranked number 129 nationally.
The school is the last of 50 to be honored by the MaxPreps Tour of Champions.
A National Guardsman presented the team with the Army National Guard national ranking trophy and a team banner.
Coach Rob Black says he's proud of his teams accomplishments.
"Obviously we had a lot of talent, a lot of speed. Kids worked hard in the off season and during the season. And you know, the thing that people don't realize is you've got adversity that you face during the year and guys have to overcome that. You have to have experience and you have to get some breaks along the way, and all of that stuff fell in our laps this year," said Coach Black.
Fulton's average margin of victory was more than 47 points per game last season, and seven of them were shutouts.
It was their first undefefated season since 1967.
