A brief manhunt in Oak Ridge for a suspect police say threatened a firefighter prompted a school and fire station to lock down Thursday.

Around noon, police heard the armed suspect was in the Oak Ridge Home Depot's parking lot. Officers locked down Jefferson Middle School located behind the Home Depot as a precaution, but soon learned the suspect was elsewhere.

They found and arrested him at Anderson Memorial gardens in Marlow.

According to UCOR, the suspect threatened to hurt an Oak Ridge firefighter stationed at the East Tennessee Technology Park, the site of the former K-12 complex. Officers locked down the department for an hour.

They lifted the lock down after arresting the suspect.
