Protesters gathered Thursday at the Bull Run fossil plant in Clinton to protest congressmen Jimmy Duncan and Chuck Fleischmann's environmental policies.

The group claims the two are not doing enough to cut down on CO2 emissions.

One protester says this problem can't be taken too lightly.

"I believe that this is the transcendent problem of all the problems we face, given the fact that our CO2 is going to persist for hundreds of years," said Todd Waterman with Organizing for Action.

TVA issued a statement saying it has lowered carbon emissions by 23 percent since 2005, above the Obama administrations' goal of 17 percent.
