An East Tennessee high school student could face charges after police say he caused a disruption and attacked an officer.
It happened yesterday at Oak Ridge High School. Police say the 17-year-old male assaulted a female classmate.
When an officer tried to calm him down, police say he started yelling, slamming doors, and knocking over signs. The student did not calm down, and attacked the officer.
The officer eventually subdued the student and arrested him. Charges for assault and resisting arrest are pending.
