A more than five-year demolition project is over and all the debris is removed from the K-25 building in Oak Ridge.
Demolition of the mile-long, U-shaped structure began in December 2008 at the East Tennessee Technology Park. Crews finished last December, but have been busy clearing the rubble.
Tuesday, they loaded up the last chunk of debris and hauled it away.
The K-25 building played a key part in the Manhattan Project at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
