(WBIR) The Oak Ridge Board of Education voted today to approve new visitors' sideline bleachers for Oak Ridge High School.

The Board approved a payment plan for the bleachers at Blankenship Field Monday night. The total cost of the project will be more than $500-thousand.

The project will not only involve bleachers, but a new, handicap-accessible lower parking lot.

The renovations come after a safety inspection of Blankenship showed the visiting bleachers were unsafe.
