The City of Oak Ridge has pulled the plug on its red light cameras.

Last month, city council voted to end its red light contract and stop using its four red light cameras. The decision has been controversial.

City council members say they felt the company running the cameras was unreliable, but the Paine family says they are disappointed. They helped push for more traffic regulations when a bus crash killed a family member.

City officials say they will meet with the traffic safety advisory board to figure out traffic problems and new solutions for the city.
