(WBIR) Officials are trying to permanently shut down an Anderson County spa busted this week for prostitution.
The Anderson County Sheriff's Office opened an undercover investigation into King Accupressure almost immediately after it opened on 2683 Andersonville Highway in April. The spa advertised on a website associated with prostitution and sex trafficking, which tipped off officials.
An undercover investigator, posed as a customer, said a woman at the spa offered him sexual services in exchange for money. He arrested her along with another woman for solicitation for prostitution.
Officials said it appears people were living in the spa because they found beds and an improvised kitchen inside the property.
Three days after the arrests, District Attorney Dave Clark filed paperwork, asking the court to temporarily close the spa and seize its contents. Clark also took steps to close the King Accupressure permanently by filing a nuisance petition.
"We want these adult-oriented businesses to know that they are not welcome in Anderson County," wrote Clark in a release.
Court documents list Joshua B. Tally and Young Park as the spa's owners.
