A Georgia man is facing multiple charges after police say he stole jewelry and other property from several homes in Anderson County.

Clinton Police arrested Victor Allen Webb, 26, on Friday, after a brief police pursuit. Officials later found items declared stolen at the home where Webb was staying.

According to Clinton Police, an officer on patrol spotted the suspect's vehicle, a white KIA, in the same neighborhood where several of the burglaries occurred. When the officer tried to stop the vehicle, the driver sped away. The suspect led police on a chase through Oak Ridge, at times reaching 40 mph above the speed limit, before police laid spike strips and stopped the car on Oliver Springs Highway.

Officers searched a residence in Knoxville where Webb was living, and discovered most of the property stolen during the burglaries in Clinton. Officers also found a large amount of jewelry.

Webb is now facing charges for driving on a suspended or revoked license, reckless driving, evading arrest, and reckless endangerment. Charges for burglary are pending.

Webb is also wanted in Georgia.

CPD asks anyone who is a victim of a home or jewelry theft within the last few months to contact their local authorities, or CPD Detective Jason Lawson at 865-457-3112.

THP, Oak Ridge Police, and the Anderson County Sheriff's Office assisted Clinton Police in the arrest.
