Dozens of people were treated to a taste of Haiti on Friday, all for a good cause.

Harvest Field Ministries hosted a charity dinner at Hunter Valley Farm. Our own Russell Biven emceed the event. The dinner featured a silent auction. Guests could also buy handcrafted art at the Haitian Market.

All the money raised goes toward the non-profit's new malnutrition clinic in Haiti.

"The program will be treating children from infants up to five years old and it's just specifically for the kids who are the most severely malnourished, literally on the brink of death," said Brian Lloyd, Harvest Ministries director.

The goal was to raise $20,000, which would be enough money to operate the malnutrition program for one year.

If you couldn't attend the dinner but would like to donate, you can do so at http://www.harvestfieldhaiti.org.
