A former employee of the Campbell County Animal Shelter is suing the county government to get her job back.
According to court documents, Brenda Watkins says she was wrongfully terminated from the shelter back in August. She had worked there for six years.
In the suit, Watkins asks for her job back, or for $100,000 in lost wages.
The shelter closed in April after a YouTube video claimed employees improperly euthanized animals, and has since reopened.
In the suit, Watkins says she complained of inhumane treatment of animals.
