After sequestration budget cuts forced its closure last year, the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area has announced they will reopen a popular pool this summer.

The Bandy Creek pool will open on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. It will be free for kids under 5, $2.00 for kids 6 to 12 years old, and $3.00 for people 13 and older.

Last year, federal budget cuts forced BSF managers to make some tough decisions, like closing the popular pool for the summer.
