(WBIR - SEYMOUR) U.S. Marshals arrested a man Wednesday morning in Seymour who was wanted in New York for questioning in a murder case.

According to officials, Brett Knight, 45, was arrested inside a house on Creswell Road in Seymour. Officials said he's a suspect in the September 24 shooting death of Ross Reisner and attempted murder of Kevin Murray in their East Setauket, NY home.

Following the shooting, Knight was considered armed, volatile and extremely dangerous. A nationwide search commenced and authorities said Knight purchased a motorcycle and was believed to be traveling throughout the country.

U.S. Marshals and the Sevier County Special Operations Response Team located Knight Wednesday inside a Seymour home. Officers also recovered two handguns from the scene.
