The Sevierville Police Department is asking hoping the public can help them track down a woman who stole a purse at a benefit auction.

Investigators said the purse contained approximately $2000 dollars, plus the thief then used the victim's credit card to purchase over $1500 worth of merchandise. The suspect was captured on surveillance video at the Sevierville Walmart.

The purse was stolen on December 7 during the Humane Society Auction at the Sevierville Civic Center.

for assistance in identifying a woman who is a person of interest in the theft of a purse containing approximately $2,000.00 in cash. After the theft, the victim's credit card was reportedly used to purchase over $1,500.00 worth of items.
