(WBIR) More than 230 teams faced off this weekend at the K2 Wilderness at the Smokies Volleyball Tournament.

K2 Director, Christine Hughes, said they expected up to 10,000 spectactors and athletes to pack into the Sevierville Convention Center for the event.

She said it's the fourth year of the tournament, which gives children ages 12-18 a chance to serve, set, and spike their way to victory against teams from across the region.

Hughes said some teams drove as much as six hours for the competition.
