A Sevierville mother learned Wednesday she will spend the next eight years behind bars after a jury convicted her for trying to set her baby on fire.

The jury found Becky Eury guilty of reckless endangerment and child abuse in July.

Police say the mother strapped her baby into a car seat and set it on fire back in 2010. The attempted attack fortunately did not injure the five-week old baby.
