Just after 9:00 a.m. Monday morning, a car barreled into a south Knoxville apartment building; the driver was injured.

A woman was making a left turn onto Martin Mill Pike when she crashed her car into a building at a south Knoxville apartment complex Monday morning.
She was taken to UT Medical Center by ambulance.
No one else was injured.
The car hit a support pillar, knocking it down. The building suffered light damage.
Power was turned off as a precautionary measure.
The car was towed away from the scene.
Just after 9:00 a.m. Monday morning, a car barreled into a south Knoxville apartment building; the driver did not stop.
According to a Knox County dispatcher, an ambulance was called to the scene of the crash at Flennikan Square Apartments at the corner of Moody and Martin Mill Pike.
There is no word if anyone was taken to the hospital. West Martin Mill Pike was closed briefly.
