The driver of a car that flipped off the road and crashed into a house had taken that car without the owner's consent, according to Knoxville Police.

Darrell DeBusk with KPD says the Saturn's owner's daughter used the car to get to work at a business on Chapman Highway. During her shift, another employee took the car without the owner's consent.

Shortly after, the driver crashed on Mimosa Avenue.

The driver of the car has been identified as 18-year-old Jackson Martin. He could face charges as the investigation continues.

A car flipped off the road and hit a house in South Knoxville Monday evening.

Knoxville police believe four people were in the Saturn when it flipped and hit a house on the 400 block of Mimosa avenue, but they only found three people when they arrived.

Officials took those three to UT hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The house only had minor damage.
