A house fire early Tuesday morning leaves a family of six looking for a new place to stay.

Around 2:45 a.m. Knoxville Fire Fighters were dispatched to a home on the 4300 hundred block of Woodlawn Pike in South Knoxville. Neighbors called 9-1-1 to report flames coming through the roof.

The family made it out of the home safely and fire fighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

The Red Cross with working with the family to find them a place to stay for the time being.
