Despite plenty of greenways, local gyms, and our proximity to tons of hiking options, a national health company has named Knoxville as the country's least fit city.

The unfortunate designation comes from Sharecare, a company co-created by Jeff Arnold and Dr. Oz. The health and wellness platform said it examined the answers from approximately one million people who took their online Real Age Test to determine the best, and in our case, worst cities for fitness.

Now according to their findings, Knoxville is not alone when it comes to lack of exercise in Tennessee. Nashville and Memphis were also named in the top four for least fit cities.
