(WBIR - Knox County) More than 5,000 people in Knox County rolled up their sleeves to get flu shots this weekend.
The 19th Free Flu Shot Saturday brought 5,102 people to area high schools to get vaccinated for this year's flu season.
The event also helps raise money for the Empty Stocking Foundation, which provides holiday food baskets and toys to underprivileged families and children around the area.
This year, the Free Flu shot event raised $23,411.73, which will fill 3,600 baskets this holiday season.
