(WBIR) Authorities announced Wednesday that a suspect in the Thanksgiving Day burglary of a West Knoxville gun shop has been charged after turning himself in to investigators.
Knoxville Police said Zachary Aaron Long, 20, has been charged with one count of burglary and one count of felony theft.
KPD said Long, a Knoxville resident, told investigators he purchased items for the theft and then burglarized Guardian Armory.
Authorities said 27 weapons were stolen from the gun shop early Thanksgiving morning. The owner of the store said the burglary happened before he even had a chance to hold a grand opening.
KPD said the investigation into the weapons theft is still under investigation and they are unable to release any more details at this time.
