It's beginning to look more and more like Christmas in East Tennessee.

Mayor Tim Burchett kicked off the annual holiday Festival of Lights at the Cove at Concord Park on Friday. The festivities included Webb School Madrigal singers singing carols.

You can take a stroll on the greenway trail to see all the lights, and your pets are welcome as long you keep them on the leash.

Mayor Burchett also says it could be fun for the kids...

"It's not exactly the time of year when most folks would get out to the park, and especially this time of year when kids are really hyped up about Santa Claus and it's a good time to let them get out here and burn off a little energy and it doesn't cost anything," he said.

The event is free, but visitors are encouraged to donate canned goods to the Love Kitchen. It runs through December 29th.
