(WBIR) The Silver Spoon Cafe is closing its doors once again.

The restaurant's last day is Monday. A Silver Spoon Cafe spokesperson said the restaurant has faced challenges with its latest West Knoxville location and is looking for a new home.

David McFarland, the owner/operator, told 10News this time the restaurant is closing due to issues with the building. He mentioned during the cold snap earlier this season, the sprinklers froze and flooded the building, causing the restaurant to be closed for a week.

This isn't the first time the restaurant has closed up shop. Silver Spoon moved to its current location on Lovell Road in Sept. 2012 after doing business in the Gallery Shopping Center on Kingston Pike for years. The restaurant closed again without warning in April 2013 due to tax issues, then reopened its doors in June.

McFarland emphasized to 10News this time, the restaurant isn't in trouble. "We don't do business that way, the old way," he said.

McFarland purchased The Silver Spoon in 2013 after it had been seized for nonpayment of state taxes from the previous owner.

The restaurant hasn't announced any possible new locations or a reopening date. McFarland said he hopes to have a new location up and running as soon as possible.
