(WBIR) A man pleaded guilty Monday morning to strangling his girlfriend and 3-year-old daughter on Easter Sunday in 2012.

Jorge Alberto Molina entered a guilty plea on two counts of first-degree murder. Knox County Judge Bobby McGhee sentenced Molina to life with the possibility of parole. Molina must serve at least 51 years before he's eligible for parole.

Molina admitted to investigators in 2012 that he strangled his girlfriend, 25-year-old Nolvia Aguilera, and their daughter, 3-year-old Allison Aguilera after an argument. He then tried kill himself and called his roommate. Next, the roommate called police and told officers where to find Molina and the victims.

Deputies found Molina, who was unresponsive, and the bodies of the victims in a van parked at a construction site on Rogers Island Lane in West Knox County. Molina was part of a crew constructing a house on that property.
