House to vote on farm bill
The House is scheduled to vote on a massive, five year farm bill today that would make cuts to food stamps and continue generous subsidies for farmers. The farm bill would save an estimated $24 billion over 10 years, with about a third of the spending cuts coming from the popular food stamp program.
