Bring your own weed...to the Colorado Symphony.
DENVER (AP) - Saying it's bring your own weed, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra will be playing a series of fundraising concerts sponsored by the state's burgeoning pot industry.
In a statement Tuesday, symphony CEO Jerome Kern says the concerts are part of efforts to reach a broader audience.
The state's only full-time professional orchestra, like many across the country, has struggled with dwindling audiences and budget problems.
The series starts next month with the first of three concerts at a downtown Denver gallery to which listeners are encouraged to bring their own marijuana.
The final concert is at Red Rocks. Judith Inman, who is a member of a venerable volunteer guild that supports the symphony, says she knows it needs sponsors and younger audiences. But she is skeptical of the marijuana mash-up.
