Two sitting city council members have the momentum heading into the November election after winning Tuesday's primary.
There are only two contested races.
In the fourth district, incumbent Nick Della Volpe received two-thirds of the primary vote over challenger Rick Staples.
In district six, incumbent Daniel Brown routed Pete Drew.
Candidates in districts one, two and three ran unopposed.
Since none of the races have more than two names on the ballot, all candidates will advance to the November 5th regular election.
Altogether, only about two percent of registered voters cast a ballot in the primary.
