The Tennessee Department of Transportation said crews cleared all southbound lanes of I-75 in north Knox County by 8 a.m. Saturday following a tractor trailer crash Friday evening.
The accident happened at about 6:30 p.m. on I-75 at mile marker 116 just south of Raccoon Valley Road.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Lifestar flew the semi driver, Joe Colins, 61, to UT Medical where he's listed as stable.
Officials said Collins was traveling south when his semi hit an abandoned Nissan Pathfinder before crashing into several trees.
As crews cleared the crash, officials diverted traffic at the Clinton/Norris exit.

THP says the accident involved a semi truck that went off the road around 6:30 p.m. at mile marker 116. The truck hit an abandoned Nissan Pathfinder, then crashed into several trees.
The driver of the semi, 61-year-old Joe Collins, was injured in the crash and flown to UT Medical Center. No word yet on the extent of his injuries.
Traffic was being diverted at the Clinton/Norris exit.
