A heavily traveled Hancock County bridge will be closed for inspections next Monday.
TDOT will close the Kyles Ford Bridge on State Route 70 on July 28th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It's the main way Hancock County residents get to and from Rogersville and the Tri-Cities.
During the bridge closure, drivers will need to go west on Highway 33, south on Highway 66 and then east on Highway 94. That's a 47-mile detour.
TDOT is working to replace the aging 86-year-old bridge. The new bridge is under construction and it's expected to be finished next June.
