KNOXVILLE (WBIR) - A Vols basketball legend is in town this week.

NBA Hall of Famer Bernard King addressed the Tennessee team on Tuesday and will attend Wednesday's game against Auburn.

King is on his way to Memphis, where he will be honored Monday at the Grizzlies game.

King, along with former NBA star JoJo White, will be presented with the National Civil Rights Sports Legacy Award.

He will also speak at a symposium on the values and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Past winners of the award include NBA legends Bill Russell, Julius Erving and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
