Nashville city officials are trying to attract a high profile college football game to the Music City to help kick off the football season.

The convention and visitors bureau says it wants to match an SEC team against a high quality foe from another conference

Officials compared it to the Chick-fil-A Kickoff classic. That game brings in millions of dollars for Atlanta's economy.

One stumbling block for the proposal could be a tax on athletes. Some lawmakers are currently trying to repeal it.

Tourism officials say they hope to start the annual game at LP Field by 2016.
