Sunday was a busy day on the hardwood for former Vol Allan Houston. He and his father Wade teamed up to host a basketball clinic at Knoxville Christian School.

It was four hours of fundamentals, drills and instruction from Houston and several local coaches.

Houston spent his summers as a child visiting family in his dad's hometown of Alcoa and was excited to give back to the community.

"To come back, it's almost like a family reunion," said Houston. "It just means so much to be able to come back and now to have this place, have a basketball court, Knoxville Christian School has been so gracious to name this court after us, so we just wanted to start having good quality basketball, teach the fundamentals of shooting, the fundamentals of the game.

"We'd just like to use this facility to build, not just great basketball players, but great young people."
