Joao Pedro Dowsley's goal with about a minute left in regulation booked Carson-Newman to its first ever NCAA D2 championship game, as the Eagles beat Simon Fraser 3-2 outside Augusta, Georgia on Thursday.

The Eagles trailed 1-0 at the break, before notching a comeback win, in the program's first D2 semifinal.

Carson-Newman will play Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
