Lane Kiffin is on the job hunt - this week he's making a stop in Alabama.

(WBIR) A source told ESPN that Alabama head coach Nick Saban invited the former USC coach to evaluate the Crimson Tide's offense.

The source said the visit is "to share ideas and exchange ideas and (for) professional development," reported ESPN.

USC fired Kiffin the day after Trojans lost to Arizona State on September 28. The university's athletic director sent Kiffin packing at the team's private airport terminal in Los Angeles. Kiffin's overall record during his four seasons at USC was 28-15.

Kiffin was head coach at the University of Tennessee in 2009 before jumping to USC after one season. He drew criticism for brash actions during his tenure at Tennessee and again last season at USC. NCAA sanctions that followed Kiffin stripped the Trojans's roster of its depth.
