(WBIR, ESPN) Marquette University has hired Duke associate head coach Steve Wojciechowski, sources told Jeff Goodman with ESPN.

Wojciechowski, 37, played at Duke in the late 1990s. He has been on Mike Krzyzewski's staff since 1999 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2008, according to ESPN.

The former Duke player replaces Buzz Williams, who led Marquette to the NCAA tournament in five of his six seasons.

Marquette also met with Tennessee men's basketball coach Cuonzo Martin on Sunday, sources told Volquest.com. Martin withdrew his name from the Marquette's coaching search after meeting with UT Athletic Director Dave Hear twice on Monday.
