South Doyle's Jocquez Bruce committed to the Vols on Tuesday. Bruce is the 13th member of the Class of 2015.
Rivals.com has Bruce listed as a 3-star athlete.
Bruce was at Tennessee's camp over the weekend and got the offer on Saturday.
"It's the University of Tennessee I can't let that down," said Bruce. "I wasn't going to make them wait too long. I was just really excited that I got the offer first. I really didn't know what to say, but I thought about it. I want to go to UT."
Bruce is a stand-out running back for the Cherokees. He rushed for 1,936 yards on 210 carries last season with 28 touchdowns. He had 29 catches for 268 yards and three touchdowns. Joc also threw two touchdown passes.
At Tennessee's camp, they had him working a lot at receiver.
"They had me playing corner, receiver, running back, but mostly I was at receiver," explained Bruce.
He says he prefers running back, but will play where ever the Vols need him. Bruce called head coach Butch Jones Tuesday afternoon to tell him the news.
"He was excited," said Bruce. "He said I'm glad to have a baller like you come aboard and he was just talking to me about like what position and stuff they were going to use me."
