JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn.-- It was an early start for the Carson-Newman football team on Tuesday. The Eagles were on the field in full pads at 6:40 to scrimmage.

The first team offense won the day, scoring all seven times it touched the ball. One of the highlights of the day was a 60-yard touchdown from quarterback De'Andre Thomas to wide receiver Anthony Eubanks.

After the scrimmage, the team cleaned up for picture day and met with the media. Hear from head coach Ken Sparks and select players below.

Running back Andy Hibbett:

Running back Andy Hibbett needs a little more than 600 yards rushing to crack the program's top 15 list for all-time rushing yards.

Quarterback quarterback De'Andre Thomas:

Thomas threw for 1,825 yards last season and averaged 75.8 rushing yards per contest.
