Tennessee's men's and women's basketball team have punched their tickets to the NCAA tournament's Sweet 16 round.
The men have been on fire in the tournament, after a come from behind, overtime victory in a play-in game against Iowa, the Vols rolled against UMass and Mercer.
They'll next head to Indianapolis, where the #11 seed Vols will take on #2 seed Michigan Friday night at 7:15. That game will be televised on CBS.
The team will leave campus at 5:30 pm on a bus to the airport, where they will fly to Indianapolis.
This will be the Vols seventh trip to the Sweet 16 in school history. They've only one that game once, advancing to the Elite 8 in 2010 with a victory over Ohio State.
As for the #1 seed Lady Vols, the opening rounds were not as easy as most anticipated, with the team playing at home in Thompson-Boling Arena. The games with Northwestern State and St. John's were close at times, but the Lady Vols finally managed to pull away from both of them for a victory.
They will next play on Sunday against #4 seed Maryland, That game will be played in Louisville at noon and televised on ESPN. If they win that game, they will play the winner of #3 Louisville and #7 LSU.
The Lady Vols are the only NCAA women's team to appear in every NCAA tournament. They are now 26-0 all-time in NCAA Tournament second round games and 52-1 in first and second round games. The Lady Vols have made the Sweet 16 32 times, and have won 8 National Championships.
