Jennings talks about what he will bring to Rocky Top.

Blackman quarterback Jauan Jennings ended his college recruitment on Monday morning, announcing he will go to Tennessee during a press conference at the school.

Jennings was the District 7-AAA offensive MVP this past season.

Jennings, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound junior, went 11-3 in his first season as a starting quarterback in 2013. He threw for 1,465 yards with 14 touchdowns in leading Blackman to the Class 6A semifinals. He also rushed for 795 yards with 10 rushing touchdowns. As a safety, Jennings made 28 tackles and intercepted two passes.

Jennings can't sign until February.

Jennings had narrowed down his decision to Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Northwestern and Tennessee. He had visited Tennessee this past weekend and Auburn the weekend prior.

Jennings also led the Blaze basketball team in scoring this past season and guided it to its first Class AAA title.

According to Volquest.com, one of the top prospects in the state, 4-star quarterback Jauan Jennings, picked the Vols Monday over a host of other schools competing for his services, including Alabama, Auburn, and Ohio State.

Jennings is a junior at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro.
