The Vols continued fall camp on Saturday, meeting at 7:30 in the morning for some mental classroom work and taking the field in the afternoon.
Saturday, it was an early wake-up call for the Vols. They had meetings starting at 7:30 a.m. then practice at 4.

"I liked the way we started the day," said Jones. "We did an offensive/defensive walk-through with blitz pick-up. I thought our communication was very, very good. I thought we took mental reps and so much to learning, it's not just the physical reps, it's the mental reps and it takes a maturity level to be able to focus when you're not in, watch your position and ask questions. So that's why every rep is valuable."

There was no update on Saturday regarding the status of former Central Bobcat Cody Blanc. He suffered an ankle/lower leg injury on Friday and was scheduled for a MRI.
Freshman defensive lineman Charles Mosley was in a car wreck over the summer and broke his leg. Butch Jones said Saturday they do not expect him back this season.
