KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WBIR-TV) – Knoxville NBC affiliate, WBIR-TV, and govols247, announced a partnership Friday that will extend an already robust local and national sports presence. Already leaders in local sports content, the govols247 and WBIR-TV 10Sports powerhouse pairing is a game changer for East Tennessee sports coverage, offering fans extensive, in-depth content and perspectives.

As part of the announcement, govols247 senior writer, Wes Rucker, will co-host WBIR's Sunday Sports Talk alongside 10Sports Director, Nick Carboni and his 10Sports team, including reporters Courtney Lyle and Patrick Murray. Rucker will additionally appear on new 10Sports segments throughout the week during 10News programming.

The new segments featuring Rucker and the 10Sports team will offer insights, perspectives, predictions and interactive fan conversations surrounding the state of recruiting, UT Volunteer home and away game-day coverage, post-game wrap ups, and local high school sports highlights. Ryan Callahan, govols247 recruiting beat writer, will also join the ranks, offering recruiting insights alongside Carboni and Rucker weekly during 10News programming on Wednesdays.
