The Vols and Lady Vols teamed up for the annual Hoops for Hope event.

The 6th annual "Hoops for Hope" event hit the hardwood at Farragut High School Saturday morning. The Vols and Lady Vols' basketball teams both showed up to shoot some hoops with kids and adults with Down syndrome.

Lady Vol basketball head coach Holly Warlick and Tennessee men's basketball head coach Donnie Tyndall were both coaching up the players.

The event was created by then-sophomore Trey Sexton who attended Farragut. He wanted to give ballers of all ages a chance to play with the Tennessee players.

"I am very pleased that Hoops for Hope continues to receive such wonderful community support. Our friends with Down Syndrome have so much to teach us,so much joy to share, and so much love to give," said Trey Sexton.

Hoops for Hope benefits the DSAG scholarship fund that allows people with Down syndrome to participate in athletic activities that will enhance their motor and social skills.
