The Vols will kick off their 2014 season on Sunday night against Utah State. The game is set to start at 7 pm and will be televised on the SEC Network.

The game was moved a day later because of the annual Boomsday celebration on Saturday night.

Gameday activities

The Vol Walk will start at 4:45 p.m. on Volunteer Boulevard near Circle Park. The football team will walk down Volunteer Boulevard to Peyton Manning Pass and into the stadium.

The Pride of the Southland Marching Band will begin marching at 5:20 p.m. from the Natalie L. Haslam Music Center on Volunteer Boulevard and will then follow the same path as the Vol Walk.

The Toyota Volunteer Village will be open on the lawn of the Humanities and Social Sciences Building at 3:30 p.m. The Village offers food and pregame festivities for fans of all ages.

New this year, the UT Student Government Association will host its first ever All Vol Tailgate from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Humanities and Social Sciences Building's outdoor amphitheater. The event is open to UT students and will offer free food, music, games and special guests.

Parking and Traffic

Due to campus construction, fans are encouraged to arrive early.

Only fans with permits can park on campus. UT encourages others to use shuttle buses from the Old City, the Knoxville Civic Coliseum and Krutch Park, near Market Square in downtown Knoxville, and Farragut High School.

Phillip Fulmer Way will close to through traffic from Middle Drive to Tee Martin Drive three hours before kickoff.

Fans with parking permits for Staff Lots 4 and 5 must enter Phillip Fulmer Way via Lake Loudoun Boulevard. Those with permits for Staff Lots 9 and 30A must enter Phillip Fulmer Way either from Cumberland Avenue or from Peyton Manning Pass.

Thirty minutes before kickoff, the remainder of Phillip Fulmer Way as well as Peyton Manning Pass, Middle and Lower Drives and Estabrook Drive will close to vehicles. For an interactive campus map, visit http://www.utk.edu/maps.

What's not allowed in Neyland Stadium

  • no backpacks of any kind or size are allowed inside Neyland Stadium.
  • purses or other bags larger than 12 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches cannot be brought into the stadium.
  • alcoholic beverages, cans, bottles or coolers
  • weapons of any kind, including pocket knives
  • stadium seats with arms
  • video cameras
  • radios without headphones
  • open umbrellas
  • strollers

What is allowed in Neyland Stadium

  • cushions and seats without arms
  • small diaper bags that accompany infants
  • small cameras, pagers, cell phones and binoculars
  • All items, including purses, are subject to search at the gates
