(WBIR-Knoxville) Vols fans who watched the Tennessee-Florida match-up at home had a lot to say about Saturday's game, as well as the ones ahead.
At Bearden Hill Fieldhouse, Vols Fan Anthony Noble was hopeful in the first quarter.
"I don't think it's been going too bad. Not good but not bad," Noble said.
He went on to say, "I don't think they should have benched our first string quarterback but little too early to decide."
By halftime, many fans were calling the game "sloppy."
"Sloppy's probably a good description it's... it's kind of hard to watch on both sides of the ball, Florida and Tennessee," Vols Fan Paul Haman said.
University of Tennessee Senior Zachary Ruble said, "I think Worley maybe should have started the game off but maybe this was a good gut-check for Justin Worley."
Despite being down for most of the game, fans had good things to say about Tennessee's defense.
"Tennessee defense looks pretty good, can't complain about that. But the offense... kind of not clicking really well," Haman said.
With a 2-2 record this season, Vols fans are looking at the bigger picture.
"I think Butch Jones is the guy. It may not be this year but I think maybe one or two more years down the road, I think we'll... maybe not be back to where we were in the '90s but we'll definitely get back to the national stage," Ruble said.
UT Alumna Erica Schumacher added, "I think we're just a young team and we've got a lot of improvement but slowly over the years we'll get it together. It just takes time and we need to be patient and the fans need to be loyal with the team."
Tennessee plays South Alabama next Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
