Tennessee picked up its second five-star commit on Wednesday, when Gallatin (Tenn.) Station Camp WR Josh Malone announced his intentions to sign with the Vols.
Malone (6-3, 195) chose Tennessee over several other major programs, and was reported to also be highly considering Clemson, Florida State, and Georgia towards the end.
Because Malone signed a financial aid agreement with UT, and is eligible to graduate high school this semester, he does not need to sign a National Letter of Intent, and will be on campus in January.
According to www.volquest.com, Malone is the 20th best prospect in the nation, and the No. 2 overall recruit in the state.
Tennessee's top prospective student athlete is Beech running back Jalen Hurd, who has already given his verbal commitment to UT.
Volquest rates Tennessee's class second in the nation behind only Alabama.
